Mahogany

 

 

In 1.720 the export of the walnut was prohibited by the French (because it was also used in the construction of boats). This originated that the English cabinetmakers began to use, first, the dark walnut of Virginia and, later the mahogany coming from the Western Indians. This wood, although has a very fine grain, is refractory to the attack of the parasites and resistant to the dents.

Thanks to their natural color, combine with the decorative reasons for bronze and silver very well and with the golden wood; in addition, its compactness facilitates its polished one. Therefore, the mahogany of the Western Indians adapts perfectly in the style of the English furniture, characterized by a severe linearity and a robust construction.

Carvings

The stature of our furniture is made completely by hand using the same tools and techniques that in the original models.

These statures can be made given the high quality of the used wood in the elaboration of our pieces.

Brass Ironworks

Until the last detail in our furniture he is well-taken care of.

All the gunners are made in massive brass, fused artisan in sand molds and finished by hand.

The possibility exists of asking for the golden or aged brass gunner.

In the construction of our furniture any machine does not take part. All the meetings are made meticulously by expert craftsmen of absolutely traditional form.

The unions of the drawers are made in form of "milano tail", by the similarity with the tail of this bird.
